It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Adams Purcell (Martinsville, Virginia), born in Fieldale, Virginia, who passed away on October 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Noel Adams; and her daughter Margaret Cameron. She is survived by: her mother Dovie Adams; her husband Alec Purcell; her daughter Robin Kopeikin; her sister Betty Jo Plaster; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Madison Cameron, Ryan and Kendall Kopeikin.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

I attended Fieldale schools with Barbara and Graduated from Fieldale High School class of 1958 with Barbara and Alec. They were respected and loved by all teachers and students--including me!
