It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Lackey (Martinsville, Virginia), who passed away on December 12, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Peters Lackey and Hartley Hylton Lackey; and his siblings, Marjorie Gayle Vanhaitsma and Darrell Wayne Lackey. He is survived by: his wife Karen Adkins Lackey; his sons, Robert Alan Lackey (Janine) of Martinsville, VA and Paul Anthony Lackey (Celeste) of Summerfield, NC; his grandchildren, Tate Lackey, Samuel Lackey, Gracie Lackey, Brenna Lackey and Jake Lackey; his aunts, Nancy Edelen of Martinsville, VA and Evelyn White of Martinsville, VA; and his uncle Jimmy Peters of Franklinville, NC.
