“I had the pleasure of having Duane as my roommate in 2014, in Alexandria Va. He was a very humble man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He drove to Atlanta in 2017 to visit me and my partner Jeffrey, And I remember him telling me that it was his first time leaving Va, And how he enjoyed the long drive and the beautiful views. I will always hold Duane's friendship close to my heart. I know that Duane is resting in peace with My partner Jeffrey who died 4 days after Duane .”
