With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alverda Mae Shultzaberger of Marshall, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 25, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Sneath and Catherine Sneath; her siblings, Emma, Florence and Ronald; her significant other Charles; her sons, Cary and Brian; and her children-in-law, Herbert Wines and Debra Shultzaberger.
She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy, Margaret and Dennis; her children, Bruce, Debra (Mickey Bowman), Mark (Kimberly) and Craig (Christy); and her grandchildren, Steven, Amy, Jeremy, Gregory, Michael, Rachel, Sarah, Ian, Austin, Jack, Anthony, Carla and Hannah. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Royston Funeral Homes - Marshall (4125 Rectortown Rd, Marshall, VA 20115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Blair Memorial Park (3234 E Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16601).
The family ask that donations in lieu of flowers go to the Alzheimer's Association.
