We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2021, at the age of 91, Dorothy A. Showers of Markham, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas William Atkins and Rosie Cecil Frazier Atkins; her husbands, Giles Marshall Showers and James Delaney Brown; her son Giles Marshall Showers, Jr.; and her siblings, Bennie Atkins, Marie Willingham and Mary Jane Atkins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Grimsley of Markham and Karen Goff of Hume; her brother Bob Atkins of Front Royal, Four; her grandchildren, Justin Grimsley, Devin Pilson, Alex Goff and Emily Goff; her great grandchildren, Piper and Rhett Pilson; and her stepchildren, Chip Brown, Candy Glascock and Clif Brown. She is also survived by other numerous family members and friends.
