He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Gilley and Delcie Stamper Gilley; his wife Polly Gilley; and his siblings, Ann Gilley, Rex Gilley and Bob Stamper.

He is survived by: his sons, Steve Gilley and Gary Gilley; his grandchildren, Kellie Gilley and Cody Gilley; his sister Doris England; his great grandchild Derek Orr; and his close friend Sharon Pierce.
