William Farris Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Farris of Marion, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on January 3, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Farris and Laura Parks Farris; his wife Ruby Louise Farris; his siblings, Charles Farris, Betty Marie Bordwine and Laura Ernestine "Teeny" Coe; his granddaughter Shawna King; his great grandchild Dakota King; and his close friend Bill Shirey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debi Behm (Steve), Becky Edwards (Don), Sandi King, Belinda Spencer (Glenn) and Sarah Farris; his siblings, Jim Farris (Ila Kay), Ted Farris (Tonie) and Nina Crabtree; his grandchildren, Jessica Mast (Doug), Kimberly Bates, Bill Edwards (Kelly), Jonathan King (Katie), Chad King (Constance), Emily Spencer, Liam, Anya and Mattie Rose Manry; and his close friends, Laura Fowler, Faith Brough, DeLois Shirey, John and Darlene O'Quinn. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blackwell Chapel Church Cemetery.
