It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Frederick Patterson (Marion, Virginia), who passed away on July 30, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Coyle Patterson; his daughter Patricia Thornton; his parents, Walter Patterson and Etta Patterson; and his sister Barbara Nelms.

He is survived by: his daughters, Theresa Baylor of Marion and Diana Waters of Richmond; and his siblings, Margaret Agee and Bobby Patterson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
