He was predeceased by: his parents, Marco V. Buchanan and Florence Blankenbeckler Buchanan; and his brothers, Ronnie V. Buchanan (Mona) and J. Mac Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn H. Buchanan of Marion; his daughter Kim "Roscoe" Buchanan; his grandson Ryan King of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; his niece Candace Buchanan Dalton (Phillip); his nephews, Eddie, Gary, Roy Hughes and Joe Byrd; his close friend Dr. Sam Vernon; and his friends, Donna Hayes, Phil Horton, Bob Pasley, Joshua Hamm and Curtis Campbell.
