She was predeceased by: her son Michael "Dink" Sturgill, Jr.; her parents, John, Jr. Tilson and Ada Farmer Tilson; and her sister Carolyn Somervell. She is survived by: her husband Rick James of Troutdale; her son Charles Sturgill (Cherub); her stepchildren, Jessica James, Ricky James, Jr. of Marion and Christopher James Childers of Texas; her siblings, Sharon Kegley (Eddie) of Marion, Sabrina Roberts (Richard) of Villa Rica, Charlotte Parris (Joseph Linkous), Charles Tilson (Joyce) of Marion and Kent Tilson of Marion; and her grandchildren, Stella Blue Sturgill, William Sturgill, Marley Sturgill, Emma May McDavid, Eddie Edwards, Jr. and Nevaeh James. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
