He was predeceased by: his wife Marion W. Thurston; and his parents, Mary Josephine and Stanley King Thurston, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Mark Thurston (Mary Elizabeth Lynch), Sharon Pittenger (Mark) and Lee (Jane); his sister Martha Crawford; and his brother-in-law Hal Lankford. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
