He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie T. Cress and Hallie Suthard Cress; his siblings, Roy Cress, Charlie R. Cress, Louie Cress and Mabry Norman; his parents-in-law, Lee and Loretta Kilby; and his brothers-in-law, Danny Kilby and Keith Kilby.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kilby Cress; his children, Tony Cress (Deena) and Tina Cress Hamm (Randy); his grandsons, Daniel Hamm, Nolan Hamm, Keith DeBord, Ethan Cress and Alex Cress; his great grandchildren, Easton Hamm, Emery Hamm and Miles Cress; his sister-in-law Susan Ratliff Kilby; and his close friends, Gary and Mary Heninger. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
