It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph Joseph Emerson Sr. (Marion, Virginia), who passed away on August 7, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Carter Emerson; his parents, Bane Emerson and Charmie Emerson; and his siblings, James Emerson, Stella Sheets and Larrie Emerson.

He is survived by: his children, Theresa Emerson Walker (Randall) and Ralph Joseph "Joe" Emerson, Jr. (Tammy); his siblings, Lena Carter, Maxine Fiorentino (Frank), Janet Tuell (Joe), Raymond Emerson (Jackie) and Bruce Emerson (Betty); and his grandchildren, Ryan Walker, Emily Emerson and Abigail Emerson. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 115 South Church Street, Marion, VA 24354.
