She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Simons, Jr. and Phyllis Boyles Simons; and her brother Bart Simons. She is survived by: her daughter Mandi Vanhoozer (Will); her siblings, Desiree Blankenship, Debbie Johnson (Keith), Gina Ogle (Chris), Kim Bourne (Pat), Carrie Webb (Jack), Judy Hale (Troy), Ernest Simons III, Wes Simons (Sandy), Ernest Simons (Marcie), Kenneth Simons (Rachel) and Chris Simons; and her pets, Rex and Storm. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens (7764 W Lee Hwy, Rural Retreat, VA 24368).
