He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Roscoe Sturgill and Virgie Peacock Sturgill; and his siblings, Charles Earl Sturgill, Henry Sturgill, Virginia Vernon, Hazel Sage, Cora Williams, Billy Ray Sturgill and Clarence Jack Sturgill.
He is survived by: his children, Audrey Powers (Carl) of Chilhowie, VA, Glenna Frantz (Steve) and Tim Sturgill; his grandchildren, Shannon Russell, Kristal Patrick, Heather Sturgill, Amanda Bradley, Nathan Frantz, Nikki Roberts and Joshua Frantz; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Amber, Adrianna, Jacob, Jaden, James, Jayla, Jayce, Lucas, Maria, Ella Grace, Angel, Abagail, Alayla, Ava, Abel and Jaxen; and his great great grandchildren, Tori and Josey. He is also survived by Several nieces & nephews.
