Opal Ellen Spiker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Ellen Spiker of Marion, Virginia, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Cox and Bernice Cox; her husband Frank L. Spiker, Jr.; her daughters, Linda Joyce Spiker and Susan Kay Sesco; her sisters, Lorainne, Maxine, Betty and Bernadine; her great grandchild Nicole Alvarez; and her sons-in-law, Louis Goodbrod and Charlie Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Daniels (Johnny), Merrianne Cox (Tom Childress), Jane Goodbrod, Lisa Davis (Jerome) and Russell Spiker (Tina); her sister Vivian Kauffman; and her close friends, Shareka Lee and Brenda St. Clair. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, the family will have a Private Graveside service Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Wassum Cemetery, 5549 – 5557 Lee Highway, Atkins, Va. with the Reverend Dr. James Bennington officiating.
