She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Goodwin Payne, Jr.; her parents, George Samuel "Boone" and Lula Wilmore Bachtell; and her siblings, Katie Elliot, Irene Scott, Linford Bachtell, Grace Pultz and Annie Bachtell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Schwartz (Steve) of Marion, Barbi Fitz (Bob) of Glen Allen and Peggy Lee Payne of Lexington; her grandchildren, Kim Crewey (Brian), Stevie Schwartz, Holly White (Daniel) and Ryan Fitz (Colleen); and her great grandchildren, Eli, Caroline Crewey, Dylan and Claire White.
