She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton James Ford and Mary Jane Ford; her son Evan; her siblings, Cecil, John, Willis Ford, Stella Campbell and Thelma Ray; and her close friend Jean Alley.
She is survived by: her sons, Johnathan Goodwin (Shirley) of Marion and Mike Goodwin of Wytheville; her sister Joyce Kirk of Sugar Grove; and her grandchildren, Anthony Ross Goodwin, Michael Melvin and Amanda Melvin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
