We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2018, Lola Pennington (Marion, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jay C. Pennington; her son Layne Pennington; her parents, John Cress and Betty Cress; and her siblings, John Robert Cress, Marie Cress Reedy, Fred Cress, Glenn Cress, Patsy Cress Bowman, Violet Cress and Roger Lee Cress.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Harris of Boone, N. C., David Pennington (Karen) of Marion and Wayne Pennington (Linda) of Marion; her siblings, Ruth Yule of Falls Mills, Betty Mae Ward of Sevierville and Douglas Cress of Chilhowie; and her daughter-in-law Dianah Pennington of Marion. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
