She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Emerson and Charmie Emerson; her husband Cecil Carter; her siblings, James Emerson, Ralph Emerson, Larry Emerson, Bruce Emerson, Stella Sheets and Janet Thomas; her niece Lisa Wymer; and her nephew Jimmy Emerson.
She is survived by: her niece Kathy McDowell; her grandson Keith Finney (Ali); her siblings, Maxine Fiorentino and Raymond Emerson; her great grandchild Elena Finney; her nieces and nephews, Kendra, Pam, Debbie, Betty, Martha, Theresa, Audrey, Julie, Ray, Ronnie and Joey; her great-nieces, Brittany, Courtney, Faith, Emily, Abigail and Hope; her great-nephew Ryan; and also Billy. She is also survived by several other great nieces and nephews, as well as her church family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Home - Marion (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
