He is survived by: his wife Brenda Copenhaver Brooks of Marion; his sons, Daren Brooks (Brenda) of Chilhowie and Chad Brooks (Kim) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Justin Brooks of Chilhowie and Emily Stiltner of Abingdon; and his sisters, Josephine Surber of Bluefield, WV and Violet Dailey (Isaac) of Tazewell, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
