He was predeceased by: his parents, Graham Fulton and Josephine Coe Ellis; his wife Wanda Ellis; his son Cody Ellis; and his siblings, England Ellis, Robert "Foots" Ellis (Debbie), Lemar Ellis, Ed Ellis, Jeffery Ellis and Jane Ellis Sexton.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Whitaker (Vanessa), Samuel Ellis (Kimberly), Mary Jane Armstrong (Martin), Sam Cassell (Sarah) and Cassie Stamper; his siblings, Roger Ellis (Sandy), Coolidge Ellis (Juanita), Richard Ellis, Jimmy Ellis, Charlotte Poston, Mary Owens (Jim), Pansy Phipps and Mary Firestone; and his close friend David Fulton. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
