It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Goye Reeves Jr. (Marion, Virginia), born in Chilhowie, Virginia, who passed away on November 9, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Goye E. Reeves, Sr. and Clair Sexton Reeves; his brother Ralph Reeves; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Sage and Vance Bise.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Eller Reeves of Marion; his children, Gary Reeves (Sharie) and Tammy McKinnon (Steve) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Cary Lampkins (Justin), Meghann Moore (Chris) and Matthew McKinnon; his great grandchildren, Brax, Banx Lampkins, Sadie and Bailey Moore; his stepgrandchildren, Rachel Wilson and Sarah Macomber (Sean); and his siblings, Mildred Sage, Ruby Bise of Saltville, Virginia "Vee" Widener (Jerry) of Chilhowie and Charles "Doug" Reeves. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other loving church family and friends.
