He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Thompson; his parents, Roy Thompson and Gladys Compton Thompson; his sisters, Gail Luckadoo and Kay Jones; and his brother-in-law Rex.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ron Thompson (Connie) of Snowville and Mike Thompson (Patricia) of Pulaski. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
