He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cummings Davis and Dollie Frances Turner Davis; his daughter Barbara Davis Downing; and his siblings, James Davis, Clarence Davis, Claude Davis, Lee Davis, Dee Davis, Eugene Davis, Virgie Dove, Lucille Dove, Beulah Hash, Irene Hayden, Charlie Davis and Blanche Sneed.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Karcher Davis; his daughter Teresa Szuminski (Zoomer); his son-in-law David Downing (Sandra); his grandchildren, Jason Szuminski (Molly), Sarah Szuminski (Clinton Haby), Heather Szuminski, Danielle Simpson (Dean), Tyler Downing (Tara) and Allison Downing; his great grandchildren, Eli, Remi, Liam Simpson, Madison Szuminski and Tanner Downing; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Davis, Martha Hamel, Edna Burge, Bill Burge, Leroy Karcher and Celia Karcher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
