He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Aileen Martin Russell; his son David Russell; his brother Steve Russell; his sister-in-law Opal Russell; and the mother of his children Linda Russell.
He is survived by: his son Edwin Russell (Annina) of Abingdon, VA; his sisters, Yvonne Evans (Bill) of Rural Retreat, VA and Wanda Thompson (Ralph) of Rogersville, TN; and his grandchildren, Erian Russell and Sean Greer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
