He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wayne Coleman and Margie Hayes Coleman; his wife Alice Coleman; and his siblings, Eva Clay, Willy Coleman, Robert Coleman, Mary Ruth Cox, Helen Robertson and Ethel Antoine.

He is survived by: his daughter Carla Rojos; and his niece Francis Coleman.
