She was predeceased by: her parents, Ancil Kirby and Esther French Kirby; her brother Donald Kirby; and her granddaughters, Kelsey and Kayla O'Dell.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Thomas (Ricky) of Marion; her brothers, Harold Kirby (Joyce) of Trinity, N. C. and Mickie Kirby (Betty) of Sugar Grove; her sister-in-law Phyllis Kirby of High Point, N. C.; her grandsons, Jacob Thomas and Jordan Thomas; her close friend Connie Demsey; and her pet Emmi. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
