He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claude Durham and Maretha Shupe Durham; his children, Jon Durham of Wytheville, Virginia, Mark Durham of Galax, Virginia, Jason Durham of Galax, Virginia, Pam (Richard Sutphin) and Amanda Kinder of Marion, Virginia; his sister Patsy Durham Monroe of Martinsville, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Darah Sutphin Patterson, Tori Sutphin Keefer, Channing Jones, Marleigh Pennington, Matthew Durham, Ava Durham, Luke Whitaker and Austin Weatherman. He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren and several special nieces and several nephews.
