He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Curtis and Lola Elizabeth Cassell; his son Danny J. Cassell; and his brothers, Arthur "Sam" Cassell and James Curtis Cassell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy S. Cassell; his children, Daniel B. Cassell, Kathy Michelle Cassell, Cindy Lynn Mabry (Shaine), Amanda Lynn Cassell and Randy Travis Cassell; his grandchildren, Ryan Cassell, Cadence Cassell, Kalei Cassell, Caleb Cassell, Logan Cassell, Fred Coty Smith, Zackary Mabry, Karlie Helton, Alexander Cassell and Austin Cassell; and his sisters, Julia Duncan and Deedee Annie Gravely (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
