He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer C. Perkins and Lucy Boyd Perkins; and his brother J. C. Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Doris Davidson Perkins; his children, Michael S. Perkins, Brian K. Perkins (Lorri), Lori Miller (Bodie) and Eric Freeman; his grandchildren, Kirsten McCown, Keith Miller, Allison Beamer, Madison Perkins, Mackenzie Perkins, Gage Freeman and Conner Freeman; his great grandchildren, Addison McCown and Avery McCown; and his siblings, Sharlett Quillen (Grover) and Kenny Perkins (Diane). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
