He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles P. Powell and Bertie Warden Powell; and his wife Linda Haught Powell. He is survived by: his sons, Ric Powell (Jamie) of Columbus, GA and Kevin Powell (Annie) of Sterling, VA; and his siblings, Nick Powell and Marie Powell. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
