He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Chapman and Nora Rachel Chapman. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Crasten of Blountville, TN and Carter Chapman, Jr. (Kim) of Marion, VA; his grandchildren, Gage Chapman, Tristen Chapman, Rachel Stafford and Travis Crasten; his great grandchild Nikki Woelkers; and his great great grandchildren, Aubrey Routh, Paisley Routh and Aspen Woelkers.
