She is survived by: her husband Homer Phillip Aker, Jr.; her son Mark of Marion; her grandchildren, Matthew (Bethany) of Chattanooga, Kayla (Shane) of Marion, Alek (Brianna) of Abingdon, Nick Marion (Jami) and Hayley (Zack) of Marion; her great grandchildren, Eli, Ian, Ema and Elijah; her sister Pat Sturgill of Chilhowie; and her sisters-in-law, Sandra Goodman of Marion and Elizabeth Blevins of Marion. She is also survived by Numerous cousins, nephews and nieces also survive and two very special friends.
