With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Hess of Marion, Virginia, born in Princeton, West Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Freeman and Maggie Presley Freeman; and her siblings, Luther "Buckie" Freeman, Rosa Firestone and Verlain Boyanowski.
She is survived by: her husband Franklin Artines Hess; her children, Thomas Wesley Graham, Dreama Stonaker and Anna Bowling; her siblings, Charles Randall Freeman, Susan Eaton, Millie Hoffman (Edward) and Rebecca Jane Proctor (Brian); and her friend Johnny Joannou. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
