He was predeceased by: his parents, Artis Altizer and Leona Altizer; his former wife Etta Rhea Altizer; and his brothers, David and Edward Altizer.
He is survived by: his wife Helen H. Elliott; his stepdaughters, Helen-Margaret Thomas and Dawn Keshner; his pet Mia; his close friend Otis; his cousins, Dianna Lambert, Bonnie Huff and Rev. Roger Smith; and his close friends, Albert Blackburn and Dean Roark. He is also survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel (938 N Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
