Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Betty leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Kennedy and Virginia Kennedy; her grandson Phillip Martin Beeman; and her siblings, John Kennedy and Dottie Gragg.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Hall (Jimmy) of Chilhowie, Bonita McCarter of Whitetop, Kelly McCarter (Missy) of Blountville and Olden James "OJ" Atkins (Tonyna) of Fredericksburg; her close friend Eddie Alley; and her pet Tigger. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Fraziers' Seaver Brown Funeral Service & Crematory (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
