He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Barnes and Jessie Will Estes Barnes; his sister Jean Alice Barnes; and his sister-in-law Bessie Barnes. He is survived by: his children, Robert Floyd Barnes, Jr. (Robin), Leslie Barnes Walker (Troy) and Gregory Barnes; his wife Diana; his brother Reverend Jimmie Barnes; and his grandchildren, Christa (Josh), Paige, Taylor (Tim), Robert III, Sidney and Josephine. He is also survived by four great grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Ames Funeral Home (8914 Quarry Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
