He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Herbst and Alice Ferry Herbst; his brother Bob (Brookline); his wife Patricia Carlisle; his children, Patti Schirripa (Rob), Tracy Certo (Nick), Karen Geldard (Tom), Greg Herbst (Simm) and Rich Herbst (Coleen); his grandchildren, Amanda Kohler (Jim), Robbie Schirripa (Allie), Sarah Geldard (Angela), Rachel Peabody (Dan), Daniel Certo, Jonathan Geldard (Beth), Matthew Schirripa (Sheila), Jessica Herbst (Andrew), Katie Herbst (Mike), Andrew Certo (Rachael), Tyler Herbst, Morgan Dekowski (Devon), Peyton Herbst, Hennah and Stellah Herbst; and his great grandchildren, Conrad, Brooklynn, Alexander, Wesley, Madison, Lukas, Isaac, Dominic, Colson, Wilhelmina, Leanna, Andrew, Samuel and MaryGrace.
