He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Utterback and Velma Anderson; his wife Doris; and his stepfather Leonard Anderson. He is survived by: his children, Jim (Toni Utterback) of Virginia Beach, VA and Laura (Chip Shannon) of Warrenton, VA.; his grandchildren, John Utterback (Peyton) of Richmond, VA, Scott Utterback of Richmond, VA and Hannah Rice of Birmingham, AL.; and his sisters, Betty (Clyde "Buddy" Perry) of Locust Grove, VA and Laura Clark of Idaho. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
