He is survived by: his children, Angela McLean-Wallace, Audrey McLean-Smith (Carlton), Belita McLean, Annette Powell of Bronx, NY, John McLean Jr. of Queens, NY, Donnell McLean (Shenique) of Manassas, VA, Michael McLean of Queens, NY, Cedric Dunham of Brooklyn, NY and Frank McLean of Long Island, NY.; his siblings, Fred Byrd (Maxine) of Johns Creek, GA, Frank Byrd (Edna) of Durham, NC, Donald Byrd of Atlanta, GA and Ann Hill (Ernest) of Smyrna, DE.; his siblings-in-law, Velma Byrd of High Point, NC, Edith McLean of Fayetteville, NC and Alex Tolbert of Little Rock, AR.; his grandchildren, Candace, Nicole and Nevaeh; his great grandchild Treasure; and his niece Marie Alexander. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center (10001 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
