It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Preston Collier Sr. (Manassas, Virginia), born in Pound, Virginia, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Denise Louise Collier; his parents, John Collier and Lou Vernie Gardner Collier; and his siblings, Dallas Collier, Eunice Vinogradov, Brenda Boggs and Mary Hernan.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Collier; his children, Littia D. Collier of Manassas and James Preston Collier, Jr. (Deana) of Richmond; his grandchildren, John Collier-Tanchak of Manassas, VA, Meredith and Alana Collier of Richmond, VA; and his sisters, Juvada Stratton (Homer), Patricia Collier (Stuart Boyer) of Vero Beach, FL and Janice Oliver (Gene) of Pound, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests, that instead of flowers, donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
