He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Gianna Hilbert. He is survived by: his wife Patricia S. Garner; his daughters, Ann Garner (Tracy Robbins) and Suzanne (Matthew Hilbert); and his grandchildren, Sarah Mills, Cindy Liang, Joseph Mills, Sean Hilbert, Zoe Hilbert and Nicholas Hilbert.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (9300 Stonewall Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In his later years he battled Alzheimer's Disease with grace and dignity. In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations in his name made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund https://curealz.org.
