We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2025, at the age of 89, Barbara Smith (Manassas, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Pfiefer and Charles Pfiefer; her husband Edward J. Smith; her son Edward C. Smith; her granddaughter Heather; and also, Ella and Charles Pfiefer.
She is survived by: her children, David J. Smith (Christine) and Nancy A. Smith (Juan). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center (10001 Nokesville Rd, Manassas, VA 20110). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
