He was predeceased by: his former wife Bobbie Natella; his son Perry Natella; his mother Raffaella Migliore; and his stepfather Nicholas Migliore. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean (Bobbie) of Kinston, NC; his son Gary Natella (Sandra) of Manakin Sabot, VA; his grandchildren, Lauren Natella Gray (Brandon), Katie Stark-Rankins (Sam) and Robert Andrew Natella; and his great grandchild Hayden Gray.

He also served many years as Chairman of the University of North Carolina Educational Foundation (the Rams Club) for the Craven, Onslow, Carteret Chapter.
