She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin J. Lewis; her parents, John C. Winston and Alice G. Winston; her sons, Maurice Lewis and Michael Lewis; and her brothers, Phillip Winston and Lawrence Winston.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Lewis, Billy Lewis and Morris Lewis. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
