She was predeceased by: her father John Thomas Carpenter, Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Carpenter, Evelina Carpenter and Edd Perryman. She is survived by: her husband Royce B. Utz; her grandchildren, MaKenzie Dove and Zachary Dove (Rachel); her siblings, Harvey C. Carpenter, John Thomas "Junior" Carpenter, Jr., Thelma C. Perryman and Margaret Ann Hawkins (Ronnie); her nieces and nephews, Michael Perryman, Dee Hunt, Rhonda Salmon, Debbie Frye, Pamela Sharp and Leslie Hurlock; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Aaron Michael Perryman, Jacob, Logan Wilson, Austin, Trae, Connor Salmon, Ashley Frye, Alexis and Madeline Hurlock.
