It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny Broom of Madison, Virginia, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Danny Broom to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee C. Broom and Corba Broom; his brother Alfred Bunyan Broom; his wife Shirley Marie-Price Broom; his pet Ace; and also Todd Thomas (Charles).
He is survived by: his children, Danny Lee Broom II (Vonda Broom) and Carrie Nicole Canoy (Shane Michael Canoy); his grandchildren, Jourdan Paige Bushman (Charlton Matthew Bushman), Morgan Hannah Broom, Jace Smith, Brodie Smith, Canaan Canoy and Islee Canoy; and his nieces and nephews, Alfred Dale Broom, Bill Broom, Linda Arbogast (Sheldon) and Twila Franklin.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Rd, Pecks Mill, WV 25547).
In lieu of flowers, the consideration of donations to Good Samaritan Hospice at 4751 Cove Road, Roanoke, VA 24017 or GoodSam.care would be welcomed.
