It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Stuart Gates of Madison, Virginia, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Mason and Jeanne Lambert Gates; his granddaughter Jemma Leigh Spencer; and his siblings, Ellen Gates Hawkins and Charles Gates.
He is survived by: his wife Shawna Lonergan Gates; his daughter Nina Spencer (Stephen Paul Musok); his grandchildren, Sophia Airianna Spencer, Izsabella Garcia Spencer and Eliana Mae Spencer; his siblings, Katie Gates and David Gates; and his extended family, Gina Marchica and Christa Hodge.
