With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Balser Turpin (Madison Heights, Virginia), born in Natural Bridge, Virginia, who passed away on September 11, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Thurman Turpin; her parents, Hugh Dexter Marshall, Sr. and Lemma Flint Marshall; and her siblings, Hugh Dexter Marshall, Jr. and Helen Crist.
She is survived by: her son Larry D. Balser (Joan) of Lynchburg; her grandson John Balser (Jenna) of Christiansburg; her great grandchild Abigail Balser; her sister Elizabeth Bryant of Natural Bridge; her sister-in-law Lucy Marshall of Natural Bridge; her nieces, Dreama Talley, Audra Daniel (Bryan), Linda Marshall and Debbie Dameron (Jerry); and her nephew Ronnie Marshall (Bridgette).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
